Dear Supplier, Customer, or Partner:

PADNOS, as a recycling company, is a service provider and supplier to critical infrastructure sectors. We serve and/or supply critical manufacturing, and transportation systems.

Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19); Section 8, refers to the Memorandum On Identification Of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 Response published March 19, 2020 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the office of Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency. According to the sections listed below, PADNOS is abundantly identified as essential and critical due to our customers reliance for service and/or supplies in these critical sectors.

Specific sections pertaining to this memorandum:
– CISA – Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce

  • Transportation and Logistics:
  • Employees supporting or enabling transportation functions, including dispatchers, maintenance and repair technicians, warehouse workers … and workers that maintain and inspect infrastructure.
  • Manufacturers and distributors (to included service centers and related operations) of packaging materials, pallets, crates, containers, and other supplies needed to support manufacturing, packaging staging and distribution operations.

  • Critical Manufacturing:
  • Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base.

    The President’s Coronavirus Guidance published on March 16, 2020 states “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have the responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

    Where appropriate and reasonable, and to the extent any of your critical suppliers are subject to an applicable government action, please provide this communication in support of the continuity of your supply chain.

To PADNOS Customers, Partners, and Suppliers:

We continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines in response to this virus to ensure all of our locations are safe for you and our Team Members. We are committed to staying open as long as we can in order to service all customers especially those in crucial sectors such as medical, food service and defense industries. We recognize the importance of playing our part in this effort. We are being vigilant about cleaning and sanitizing at each location, with extra emphasis on high frequency touch points like door knobs, scale phones, ATMs, and in Team Member work areas.

As we work on following all CDC guidelines, we’re asking all of our customers to do the same. By working together, we can do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. If you visit one of our locations, please practice social distancing while in our yards and offices. And as stated by the CDC, please stay home if you are not well.

We are proud of our Team Members, who are doing their best to keep our spaces clean, business running, and customers attended to. Many of you have reached out to thank them for their hard work and this means the world to them, and to the whole PADNOS organization.

We care for our customers and communities. We especially care for our Team Members and have several programs in place to support them if affected during this difficult time.

To PADNOS Customers, Partners, and Suppliers:

We take the safety and well-being of our Team Members, Customers, Partners, Suppliers and the broader community seriously. At this time, we are continuing our Business Operations and will remain open, while closely monitoring the Coronavirus/COVID-19 developments both locally and nationally. In addition, we will be following the CDC and State Health Department recommendations as the situation develops. As part of these efforts, we are taking the following steps:

To Our Business Partners:

  • At this time, we are not anticipating any interruptions to inbound pick-ups or outbound shipments. Should your production schedule change, we are prepared to manage those adjustments accordingly. We simply ask that you keep us informed of your changes so we can best serve you. Should you run into issues or need to alter your schedule, please call us at 1-800-442-7720.

To Our Community Members and Logistics Partners:

  • We are taking steps to minimize contact and proximity wherever possible. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we work through this together.
  • Please note signs with specific requests or changes to our process. Onsite personnel will also be helping you navigate the changes.
  • Feel free to use your personal cell phone to call into our scale offices in lieu of the phone at the scale. Specific numbers will be provided onsite.
  • Use discretion and keep a safe distance from other visitors while in our facilities.
  • Should you need further guidance, please call us at 1-800-442-3509

For our Team Members we have:

  • Suspended air travel
  • Restricted in person meetings
  • Requested office personnel work from home wherever possible

In addition, Team Members are asked to stay home if they are feeling sick. They should disclose and self-quarantine for 14 days if they have:

  • Been in direct contact with someone who has a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus
  • Traveled to a high-risk area as determined by the CDC/WHO in the last 14 days
  • Symptoms indicative of the Coronavirus and seek testing for COVID-19

Onsite at our Locations we have:

  • Implemented cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Requested to be handshake/contact free
  • Ask for everyone that needs to be onsite to maintain a 6’ distance between individuals
  • Restricted external visitors

We have coordinated a COVID-19 response team with representatives at each of our locations. While this is certainly an unfortunate circumstance for all of us to manage through, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to you as we use our Values to guide us.
