It’s not the end of the road when end-of-life vehicles make their way to the PADNOS metal car shredder for ferrous and non-ferrous metal recovery. Instead of being dumped in a landfill, these vehicles are converted into Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR), which can be used as post-consumer content in place of virgin materials.
And the plastic portion of these vehicles alone makes up 10 billion pounds nationally of landfill cover.
