We accept a variety of items like old appliances, metal fixtures, electronics, and more—anything that’s mostly metal or has a power cord is a great start.

  • Do I need to sort my materials before I bring them in?

It’s helpful but not required. Our team will guide you if you’re unsure, so just bring your items and we’ll assist with the rest.

  • Is there a fee for recycling my household scrap?

Nope! For most standard household recyclables, there’s no fee. In fact, some metals might even earn you a little cash back.

  • What else do I need to bring when I recycle?

Please make sure to bring a valid state- or government-issued photo ID. This helps us comply with local regulations and ensures a smooth process.

  • Are there any special rules for certain materials, like copper or catalytic converters?

Yes. Under the Michigan Scrap Act, if you’re bringing in more than $25 worth of copper or items like catalytic converters, we can’t pay you on the same day. We’ll let you know all the details when you arrive, but just be aware there might be a waiting period for certain high-value recyclables.

  • Will I need to provide any additional information when I drop off my materials?

Yes, we do follow state regulations, which means we fingerprint you, take a quick photo, and document your license plate number. It’s all part of standard procedure to keep everything safe and above board, and we’ll make it as quick and easy as possible for you.
